Our client, a global life sciences and diagnostics company, is looking for an interim employment lawyer to join their in-house legal team, replacing a consultant who recently came off an engagement. The team is currently managing a high volume of restructuring and M&A activity, and this role will free up in-house capacity to focus on that work. The role is fully remote, though the team is based across London, Cambridge, and the Glasgow area, with occasional opportunities to meet up in person.
A four-day week can be accommodated, but the consultant will need to be available for the team’s Tuesday morning check-in and Thursday morning review.
You will:
- Provide day-to-day ad hoc advice and counsel support to the in-house employment team.
- Support restructuring initiatives, including reviewing agreements and coordinating internally to help meet commercial objectives
- Assist with integration work related to recent acquisitions.
- Handle UK-based employment advice, working alongside external counsel appointed on restructuring projects rather than duplicating their input
This role is inside IR35, you will need to contract via an umbrella company.
