Our client, a global technology company, is looking for temporary legal support for a sub-team covering four areas: Procurement (SaaS contracts, benefits contracts, DPAs), Marketing, IP, and Corporate. The team has recently absorbed a broader remit following a company restructure and needs additional capacity while its internal lawyers focus on high level work and playbook development.
The role is expected to run for around six months, ideally starting mid-August. The team is looking at ideally a 2-day/week splitting a 2-day commitment across 3 days.
You will: Handle day-to-day commercial contracts work, from complex SaaS agreements to benefits contracts and DPAs, advise on marketing-related legal questions, and respond to incoming legal questions across all four functions via the team’s ticketing system. Review IP matters flagged through the client’s brand protection platform, and progress trademark registration next steps with outside counsel. Handle routine, day-to-day corporate matters (not strategic work). Draft T&Cs and new contract templates, and help build out the team’s legal playbooks. Research regulations relevant to the team’s practice areas. Work within the client’s CLM (Spotdraft) and ticketing system (LawVu) — training provided, no prior experience needed.
Essential:
Strong commercial law background, with solid working knowledge of marketing law and data privacy law.
Confident handling contracts and marketing questions independently, without needing to escalate routine matters.
Comfortable working at pace and finalising deals quickly rather than negotiating every point — this client has a high risk tolerance and wants contracts moving, not drawn-out negotiation.
German law qualification strongly preferred, to support drafting T&Cs and templates, building out playbooks, and researching German-specific regulatory questions.
Comfortable using Slack and willing to learn Spotdraft and LawVu.
